Silicone Fluid Emulsion 60 RXSOL is a 60% emulsion of medium viscosity polydimethylsiloxane, using a nonionic surfactant system. It has been designed for use in many applications including automotive care, polishes, industrial release and textile lubricants. Silicone Fluid Emulsion 60 is designed to allow formulators to prepare a range of different strength products, from a single feedstock, to exact customer requirements, by simply mixing with water in the appropriate ratio. Stable emulsions down to 15% solids are easily prepared to order, using standard paddle or propeller stirrers.

Dose / Using procedure
Wipe, brush or spray the emulsion, usually diluted. Recommended starting concentration is 2 % to 5 %. (Total solids of Mould Release Agent by water).The user is recommended to determine the best conditions of dilution and application on a test sample before using in production. Breaking in the surface of new or freshly cleaned molds is best done by applying a light coat of undiluted release agent and running the empty mold through one or two heat cycles. After excess residual base fluid is wiped from the surface, the mold is ready for use.

Dilution of Silicone Fluid Emulsion 60 RXSOL
– Silicone Fluid Emulsion 60 RXSOL : 66.7 Kgs
– Water (Demineralized) : 33.3 Kgs
TOTAL : 100 Kgs
Adjust pH to 5.5~6.0 with acetic acid
Procedure:
· Take 66.7 Kgs of Silicone Fluid Emulsion 60 RXSOL in a clean 100 kgs capacity SS vessel.
· Add 33.3 kgs. of demineralized water slowly to the product under stirring & stir for 5 mins till homogeneous.
· Adjust the pH of the product to 6.0 ± 1.0 with acetic acid if required.
· Filter through cloth & pack.
Applications:
1. As Mould release agent:
Should be diluted to 0.5 to 1% with water, and are generally sprayed on to the hot moulds with a spray gun. In the spraying process the finest possible mist must be produced to avoid formation of spot. Aqueous emulsion cannot be used for cold moulds or for the painting of compounds. In such a case, we recommend our another product Mould Release-CL which is a non aqueous product.

– Drying
– Curing : 170ºC for 45 secs
Storage
Store on normal temperature . If the product freezes due to lower temperature , it should be stored at room temperature to thaw and then remixed before use. Shelf Life 12 Month.
